RCUHS Welcomes the Five-Point Action Plan on the Rohingya Crisis
RCUHS welcomes the five-point action plan presented by PM Tarique Rahman at the UNGA and echoes the Rohingya community’s call for concrete action toward a safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable return to our homeland with our rights protected.
We, the Rohingya Civil Unity and Humanitarian Service (RCUHS), warmly welcome the five-point action plan presented by Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the high-level United Nations General Assembly side event on the Rohingya crisis on 23 September 2026. We welcome the renewed international attention to the Rohingya crisis and the recognition that the situation requires concrete, coordinated, and sustained action.
After more than nine years of displacement, more than one million Rohingya continue to live away from our homeland. We believe the international community must move beyond repeated commitments and take meaningful steps to address the root causes of displacement, protect Rohingya rights and identity, maintain humanitarian assistance, ensure accountability for serious violations, and create genuine conditions for a safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable return.
The Rohingya community continues to express its desire to return to our homeland in Arakan State in safety and dignity, with our fundamental rights, identity, security, and freedoms protected. We also believe that the Rohingya people must have a meaningful voice in decisions concerning our future. Any lasting solution should respect our rights and aspirations and create genuine conditions for a safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable return.
As RCUHS, we welcome this renewed initiative and hope it will contribute to stronger international cooperation and concrete progress toward a durable solution. We echo the aspirations of the Rohingya community for a future in which we can return to our homeland safely, live with dignity, and enjoy our fundamental rights and freedoms.
