Unite for Our People: Join the RCUHS Volunteer Camp Representative Network
Call for Rohingya Volunteers! RCUHS needs 5 unpaid camp representatives from each camp to coordinate local programs, assess community gaps, and drive emergency support. Serve your people today.
The Rohingya Civil Unity and Humanitarian Service (RCUHS) is a Rohingya-led civil and humanitarian organization working to serve the Rohingya people and build a capable, united, and resilient Rohingya community.
RCUHS is preparing to officially begin its programs and activities across the Rohingya refugee camps based on the needs of our people. Our work will focus on core areas of community development, including education, skill development, and support for vulnerable people, emergency response, and other essential needs of the community.
To carry out this work effectively across the camps, RCUHS is establishing a Volunteer and Camp Representative Network. We are looking for five committed representatives from each camp to work with RCUHS on a voluntary and unpaid basis.
Representatives will not be required to work every day or for fixed hours. They will contribute when there is a need in their camp, when RCUHS starts a program, or when support is required. When a need, incident, or community gap is identified, representatives can report it to the RCUHS operational team. After careful assessment, RCUHS will determine how and whether to respond.
Role of Rohingya Camp Representatives
Selected representatives will serve as a local point of coordination between RCUHS and their respective camp communities. Their responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and supporting the implementation of RCUHS humanitarian and community development activities in their camp together with RCUHS executive and operational teams.
- Identifying and reporting community needs, gaps, incidents, and priorities.
- Supporting research and collecting relevant information and data from their camp.
- Communicating with community members and relevant local stakeholders when required.
- Supporting RCUHS events, distributions, training, educational activities, emergency responses, and other programs.
- Contributing to and helping carry out the mission and objectives of RCUHS in service of the Rohingya community.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for Rohingya community members who are:
- Committed to serving their community.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and willing to work with others.
- Able to communicate effectively with community members.
- Interested in humanitarian service and community development.
- Willing to contribute their time voluntarily without financial compensation.
- Ready to work cooperatively with RCUHS teams and other camp representatives.
This is a voluntary and unpaid community service role. Representatives will not receive a salary or regular payment for their participation. We believe that meaningful work for our people must involve the people themselves. Through this network, we can build a direct connection with Rohingya communities across the camps, understand their needs, and work together to respond to those needs.
